About the Committee
The Standing Committee for Research on Academic Libraries (SCREAL) was founded in 2007 in order to conduct researches on scholarly communication and university or academic libraries, and to support or coordiate activities for human resource development, with the focus on the promotion of library and infomation science research and the support of university libraries' good practice.

The Committee conducted a questionnaire survey in October and November 2007 to explore Japanese researchers' attitudes in using e-journals and scholarly articles,in cooperation with the Japan Association of National University Libraries(JANUL), Private and Public University Libraries Consortium(PULC) and Japan Atomic Energy Agency(JAEA).
